Healing
- Connect with a counselor or other mental health resources.
- Begin healing through our local art initiatives.
- Find community amongst fellow survivors. You are not alone.
Project Artemisia’s mission is to provide stronger mental health resources for survivors of sexual violence at colleges and universities within the greater Philadelphia region. Here’s how:
While it is impossible to completely prevent campus sexual violence from occurring, Project Artemisia intends to extend the opportunity of healing, growth, and awareness to survivors.
Project Artemisia is a survivor-run awareness campaign. We understand the pain and struggle that comes with the aftermath of sexual violence, especially while being a student. You may have questions about reporting and Title IX complaints. We hope to offer guidance, give you the agency of choice in how to respond to your experience, and most importantly, provide you with the opportunity to heal.
Our hardworking and dedicated staff is here for you. Project Artemisia will help connect you with local mental health care providers and victim assistance services. We also offer expressive arts healing workshops, led by survivors and art therapy professionals. At this campaign, we are committed to fostering community and safety amongst survivors. Come as you are and know that you are not alone. We believe you.
I never spoke much as a kid. I was painfully shy and struggled to raise my voice above a whisper, terrified that someone would hear my nervous stutter or the improper way I pronounced my “T”s.
Project Artemisia is hosting a survivor-organized Expressive Arts Healing Workshop on April 27th from 10 AM – 2 PM at the Park Ave Community Center in Swarthmore, PA.
